Hi everyone!

I'm sure those that follow us have notices a change in the Lotus. Besides the most recent music, Kare Uta, the second music of the Tribute to the GazettE, the Lotus has a different alignment.

Not everything is easy when we grow and the Lotus is no different. We have to do all we can for our dreams and projects. They are the ones that keep us sane in a world filled with four walls, sometimes so high it becames hard to even see the sunlight.

We follow different paths. The past makes us who we are in the present and so we go on.

A new presence in the life of the Lotus as appeared: Yami. Now, he's the one holding the guitar. We're still three, but, who knows what the future holds for us.

We still aim for our goal. It's big so we know it takes a while. But that won't stop us.

We hope you're still around because your support is really important. Every petal is necessary to create the beauty of the Lotus.

The way things are

Music is not easy. It's a process and a fantastic art but, just like all arts it has its purpose as well as its time to grow.The greater the experience you have with it the easier it gets.

We're still dependent of the little knowledge we have and, with just 3 members, it isn't easy. Yari can no long ear us because we're happy with our last recording and don't get off her.

We're nearing the closure of the single Tribute to the GazettE...and it seems that the third music will easier on her.

It's not easy to be the audio technician and the musician in the same band!

And still having to go to classes... Now there's two of us saying: someday I'll rest! XD

This time there are no photos because I'm the one updating and it's Yari who has the photos in her cell phone. I'll try to take them from her just to give a glimpse of how the file looks open (the number of tracks the thing has! XD).

And that's that...back to work <.<

Waribashi's birthday!

Our friends from Waribashi reached the 3rd year! Yesterday was their party day in FNAC, of course! XD



It seems incredible that it has been so long since the magazine started! And there seem to be some big news for Waribashi.

Visit their site to know all about the news... Or almost all the news because some were exclusive to the party! Including the conference, the movie, the games and Castela do Paulo cake!

Waribashi has been a great support to Lotus for these troubled months and we can only thank them for what they have given us so far!

As we promised them: there's a new music arriving!

October news

Hi everyone!

It's been a long time since the last entry, it's true. We weren't standing still but unfortunately weren't able to continue working in the past few weeks.

We're back on track and we can promise there will be news anytime soon and we'll continue the single Tribute to the GazettE ... the rest of the news are still secret! XD

Here was I cleanning up my computer... Well, one should do it because audio and image files simply occupy to much, don't they?

So I found Lotus' pictures from when we recorded Shibire. It was a funny photoshoot hand full of funny situations that nearly destroied the bathroom in question...But we all survived XD

Yari didn't actually fall in the bath tub though she as well as I, had a struggle with the tub because we were in heals. One of these days I'll leave one of mine just to show the size of the shoes!

We had fun no matter what. All for the concept! :3

August update

Konban wa!

Last updates: Yari is finishing her course, It won't be much now untill she's an audio technitian ready to take on the market.

Tai: personally I think the band they recorded is really great! Not only the musics were awesome as well as their sound has some good vibes.

After this we're back on track! We'll be recording like hell! And they say August is the month for vacations XD

Since we only have 3 members it takes a lot of background work. Now we know the work that bands with only 2 or 3 members have, and some of them have as much as 6 or more instruments in their musics <.<

But hei! We won't tire over it 'cause this is a project we love to work in.

Soon there will be more news! :)

Hope you liked our homage to the GazettE, a band that is a great influence for us.
I don't participate, directly in nothing since I "still" can't play the piano... it's true, for now I play the guitar and I a bit of drums xD

oh yeah! Don't take it the wrong way if I don't post often. I don't have net regurally. That's the musician's life xP The little money you have is to feed the music addition ^^

But everytime it's possible, I'll come here.

Since they are my favorite band, perhaps is more that an homage to me. I'm just sorry I'm still not an audio technician experienced enough to have a really good music, so for now this is all I can do ^_^

I stopped by to bring some news from Lotus.

We're finishing some details for the next music. It's a homage to one of our idols, probably the most marking for several reasons.

It was an adaptation with a strong influence from my part and I hope I gave good use to the experience I have with keyboards as well as respected the musics core and soul. It was a choice made through the heart because... the flapping of a butterfly's wings in China did generate a hurricane in America, and this melody was there.

We want it to be a surprise as you listen so, for now, we'll say no more.

5 Min break...with no kitkat

Hi everybody!

Yesterday I really finished the recording for one of the next musics... as far as the bass goes. Now will see some details and...am I really going to sing?! :x

The mixer is going to clip! XD

Naaa Yari is always watching out for that so, even if we wanted, we wouldn't be able to XD

Well, recording for another music are half way... And... moving this and that, trying and trying again, and I'm going to have to come up with a different layout for Shibire's booklet. Why don't I carry the files in a pen?! >.<

This weekend it will show up here! For sure :3

Hear ye!

Hi guys!

As you may have noticed (or not XD) we've been recording and trying to show something else we made ^_^
Today I spend a bunch of hours in front of my PC just recording voice, but I hope I can start working on the music as soon as possible.

The status for this music (for now we won't reveal the name) so far is: everything is recorded besides the back vocals, and well, all the mastering work XD

I've also been recording a band at school for my final project as such, I've been trying to find schedule for both school and the band ^_^

Ohayo! ^_^

First of all that's for all the support you've been giving to us! Second... well, many of those that have been supporting us don't understand Japanese.
We won't want them to miss the meaning of our first recorded music, especially because we believe it has a strong concept.

Shibire is not a "pretty song", it was never meant to be. The lyrics portrait a very serious and worrying theme from our society and it was born after reading a press news that - unfortunately - was soon forgotten: a mother that, for reasons unknown (or consciously ignored by others, we don't know), took the life of her own 4 children and in the end, killed herself.

The news stook to my mind. It wasn't explained why it happen in the news but, at the same time I ask myself: what can make a mother, that conceives and sacrifices herself with love to raise 4 new lives, reach the conclusion that death is more acceptable?... Perhaps even worse is the complete stillness and conscious ignorance that we feel when facing this and other situations around us.

I could stay here and talk about this for ever without reaching a conclusion (or perhaps many of them). We took the theme to professionals of different areas of communication, sociology and phycology and it a never ending story filled with grays...

We just didn't want to let this reality pass by us. It was the difference between what's socially acceptable and what makes a person "flip" that we tried to create a song that transmits the insecurity and doubt/chaos that leads someones mind to the verge of this act.
... well, we're not professional musicians, we just try to transmit what we feel. We don't think we hold the truth or have a unique vision of the world, we just have our senses and, as any one of us, we see the world through our own eyes.

We hope it makes more sense now to those who listen and don't understand Japanese. We'll post the lyrics soon.

...it could even be today but I don't have it here x_x

Besides making pancakes for the band (XD) I also do the dry mix...wet and final audio master (like what you hear in the end...what goes to the CD ah! If you didn't get it ask me and I'll explain it better XD)
